It's is not about whether on not
the zygote/ embryo/ fetus is alive, human, and unique.

   The real question is:
      What is life and where is it located?°   
      Is life the physical body?  °  
      or is life in the spirit which inhabits the physical body?° 

   The anti-abortion proponents claim that from the moment of conception, the physical matter itself ( zygote /embryo / fetus)  is the independent human being,°   and therefore  abortion is murder.

   Is a human being his/her physical body as the fundamentalist Christians claim?   Does God really step in and create a brand new human being EVERY time a human egg and sperm unite?  If the forced motherhood promoters are correct, then abortion is, indeed taking a life, and secular laws are appropriate.   But, they have a serious problem.   They have no way to prove their claims, and there is a far more logical alternative belief.

   Is life in the spirit° which enters into and and temporarily uses a physical body to connect to and experience earth-plane reality?  Millions of Christians believe that the Bible is correct when it distinguishes between the physical body and the spirit° which inhabits the body.     Billions of non-fundamentals Christians  believe in reincarnation.°   If these people are correct,  then aborting an embryo is similar to halting work on a construction site, and secular laws prohibiting abortion are nothing more than disguised forms of religious tyranny.se people are correct,  then aborting an embryo is similar to halting work on a construction site, and secular laws prohibiting abortion are nothing more than disguised forms of religious tyranny.

   The scientific community tells us that everything thought of as physical is not physical at all -- that everything is energy -- that energy is controlled by consciousness -- that what consciousness is, where it is, and how it functions is still a mystery.   This leaves the conservative fundamentalist Christians with this problem:  How can a human being be a physical body when physical matter does not exist --when there is only energy?    

   There are widely divergent conflicting beliefs°   about the answers to these questions, and there are no provable answers.°   Thus, the question,  "Is abortion right or wrong?"  belongs the realm of religion and philosophy where it has been hotly debated for centuries.   

   In a free society, beliefs about reality, including guesswork, conjecture, speculation, and  Medieval religious fairytales°  are not the basis for passing secular laws  which force one group's religious beliefs onto everyone else.   Attempting to do so clearly violates our God-granted and Constitutionally guaranteed religious freedom!

You can't know the significance of abortion until you can, with provable certainty, answer the above questions and dozens more equally  puzzling and equally unanswerable, religious questions.^°   Any conclusions regarding abortion that are turned  into secular law and forced onto people cannot be based only on religious fairytales.^°    (More Evidence)^°    In order to provide provable answers about what abortion really is and what it means, those answers must be based upon knowledge about God,  and provide provable answers to each of the above religious questions.

Answering the above religious questions is quite literally impossible.    Philosophers, scientists, and religious scholars have been debating these questions for centuries and the only concrete answer they have yet offered is that:

On the anti-choice side, there are:  1) the fundamentalist Christians,  2) the conservative Catholics,  3)  the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church, and 4)  the conspicuous absence of anybody who does not fit into the above three categories.

Who Decides:     
The forced motherhood leaders claim to be followers of Jesus.   Jesus said nothing about abortion.   In the absence of conclusive evidence from their religious icon,  who or what are they following?   And how can they force their theology onto the billions who follow other religious philosophies.   They claim God as their authority for opposing abortions, but if their theology is right, then God is the world's most despicable abortionist and baby killer.^°    and Genesis 2:7°  and Ecclesiastes 11:5, RSV°  in the Christian Bible must be wrong.  

What we don't know about God -- about nature -- about of what constitutes a human being far exceeds what we do know.

Your guess is as good as mine!   Draw your own conclusions.   The speculations about the meaning and consequences of abortion push us deeply into the age-old, still-unanswerable, religious questions.   Here are a few more unanswerable questions:

u    Why is it that, prior to circa 1870, the Roman Catholic Church said that an independent life began three months after  conception, and now they say that an independent life begins at conception?   Can Divine Truth be arbitrarily changed  at the whims of the Roman Catholic hierarchy?

u    What does Genesis 2:7°  in the Christian Bible actually mean?   Is it correct when it says life as a human being begins with first breath?

u    What about Ecclesiastes 11:5, RSV°  in the Christian Bible?   What does that mean?   How can those who oppose abortion rights know   how "God" works when even their own Bible tells them they  can't know?

u    How can the anti-abortionists adamantly claim religious freedom for themselves while denying that same right to others.

u    And several dozen more equally puzzling and equally unanswerable, religious  questions.

If God actually does create a brand new human being every time a human egg and sperm unite,  one has to wonder what God does with all those brand new human beings° that get flushed down the worlds toilets along with a woman's monthly menstrual cycle?
