There are literally millions of us who hold very different views from those presently being expressed in the mainstream media and in the halls of our legislators.    We are, for the most part, simply being  ignored by both of these groups.   

We wish things were different, but when we look at the overpowering strength and wealth of the opposition, most of us feel all-but-helpless.    We don't march, protest, or write letters to politicians.   We simply live our lives in anguish or dismay as the beautiful system our Forefathers established is being systematically destroyed by the super-wealthy and by mindless religious extremists.**

This Needs to Change, and We're About to Change It:   For years there appeared to be no focal point around which we could express our collective voices and produce a change.  Well, things are different now.   The circumstances have changed.   The political and social contexts are different, and, most importantly, we now know how to derail the political steamroller of the ultra-conservative, fundamentalist Christians.   We now know how to take a million votes away from the political campaign of Christian-talking, but atheist-acting, "Resident" Bush and his multi-millionaire friends.   We know exactly how to do that using the preservation of women's reproductive rights as our point of focus.  

Before you let your internal skeptic say "That's impossible,"  we invite you to examine our program.   If the evidence convinces you:  1)   that we actually can derail them,  2)   that  you will benefit from our work, then we invite you to join us and/or support our work in any way that you feel is right for you.

By properly using the forced motherhood issue we can get the attention of both the mainstream media and our legislators.   You're invited to add your energy to our voice, and to do so  in any fashion that works for you.  There's nothing special that we'll ask you to do, but there is still a way for your opinions to matter.   That's what this project is all about.   

This concept is too complicated to condense into in a thirty-second sound bite, so as briefly as possible, we'll explain our program in the paragraphs below .

Who Will Benefit from Our Success?

The beneficiaries of our Liberty's Love Program number in the millions.   Who are they?   The list includes:

l    All who want to preserve women's reproductive rights,  

l    Those concerned about how Bush and company are destroying the very delicate balance between church and state set up by our Founding Fathers,

l    Those concerned about the wanton destruction of our natural environment,    

l    Gay rights activists and the entire gay and lesbian community,  

l    Our four-legged brothers and sisters, birds, trees, and flowers,

l    Those concerned about overpopulation,

l    Liberals, (We no longer refer to ourselves as liberals.   We say we are "The Reasonables.")  

l    Those who honor God, but do not participate in any of the organized religions, 

l    Those who favor freedom of religion,

l    Those who favor freedom from religion,

l    The entire Democratic party and all of  its supporters,

Our Collective Voices

.

Social transformation:    Major social, political, economic and environmental changes are underway right now.   What is at stake is the outcome of these changes.   We have two choices.   We can sit back and let others determine the outcome or we can figure out how to get our voices heard.      

Our Collective Voices:    One voice alone may speak loud and clear and be right on track, but who is listening?    Your voice alone is too small to be heard.    My  voice alone is too small to be heard.   A single voice can easily be ignored, but a harmonious chorus, a collection of voices focused on a common goal, will echo throughout any hall we sing in.   

Alone, we are whistling to the wind, but together we can bring the individual issues we are passionate about into the forefront -- into the mainstream media --  into the halls of our legislators.   

About the Point of Focus:    We simply need to find a common focal point -- a point on which we (as team members) can all agree to direct our collective energies.   That point of focus also needs to be:

 l    Something that others (even those who don't care about our cause)  will still be passionate about.  

 l    An issue about which  many people  have a vested interest in the outcome.   

 l    A controversial issue.   

 l    Something that the main stream media and our elected representatives can't ignore.

What Is that Point of Focus:    The ultra-conservative Christians have given us the perfect vehicle.   They have given us the focal point for positive, constructive, social transformation.    They have taken an antiquated, unprovable religious fairytale (God's Conception Magic Act)°  and made it a foundation upon which they are proposing legislation that would force everyone else to practice their religion.    Not only does the forced motherhood issue have all  the requirements mentioned above, it's clearly a religious freedom issue.°°   The next section below will tell you more about what the forced motherhood peddlers actually do and why women's reproductive rights is our point of focus.

We are Speaking Up BECAUSE: 

l    The fundamentalist Christian attack on women's reproductive  rights is far more than just an abortion rights issue.    To see the truth about the forced motherhood peddlers, you have but to examine:    What they actually do°°   /   What they ignore in their own Bible°°   /  How  they deceive others with lies of omission°°   /   Their unethical-immoral behavior,°°  /  Why they do it,°°  /   The techniques they use,°°  / The company they keep,°°  /  the inevitable Consequences of their actions,°° /   and   The unprovable fairytale°° that their entire anti-choice war is based on.

l    The women’s movement has, with rare exception, and by intent or by default, chosen not to confront the anti-abortionists’ religious fantasies;

l    The  present pro-choice strategy  ignores the real issue (religious tyranny and political control) and fights the symptom (a secular attack on pro-choice rights)   and,

Forced Motherhood Is a Freedom of Religion  Issue

Why Is Forced Motherhood a Religious Freedom Issue?

Because:
           We don’t know  What Life Is,°
              We don’t know   What a Human Being Actually Is, °***    
                  We don’t know  When an Independent Human Life Begins,°
                      And we have no way to find out.

***    A)    Is the anti-abortionist version of religious one-life-ism correct?   Is a human a brand new being  created AS a physical body by God at conception?°  

 B)    Are reincarnation religions correct?   Is a human being  an eternal spirit temporarily occupying°
a human physical body?°

 C)    Are the atheists correct?°   Are humans only clumps of dust that have somehow  magically acquired consciousness?

When you examine the war between those peddling forced motherhood and those supporting women's reproductive rights, it soon becomes obvious that this war is really about religious freedom.   Why do we say that?   

Because the entire forced-motherhood war is based upon belief in an ancient, un-probable, religious fairytale about God stepping in every time a human egg and sperm unite and by an instantaneous, supernatural, transcendental, conception magic act, creating a brand new human being.  According to this fairytale, the new being is the physical body, itself.***    At death, God steps in again and, this time, He transforms the physical body into an undefined something else that goes to heaven or hell forever.   

***   The scientific evidence clearly shows us that a human being cannot possible be his/her physical body because everything the appears to be physical matter is actually made up of energy.

This religious belief simply ignores the plight of the billions of human beings who don't get wet and blessed by a Christian-authorized holy man.  (We explain this and several other unprovable beliefs in considerable detail  on our pro-choice website.)

This war is about religious freedom because the entire forced motherhood war is based upon the un-probable belief that humans only live once on Earth and then go to heaven or hell forever.

This war is about religious freedom because the entire forced motherhood war is based upon the un-probable belief that the billions of people who believe in religions that teach reincarnation do not have the right to practice their religion.

This war is about religious freedom because those leading the battle for forced motherhood are, with extremely rare exception, purveyors of conservative Christian theology.    

This war is about religious freedom because the people following the forced-motherhood leaders are almost exclusively conservative Catholics or fundamental Christians.   

   Science:  
The scientific community tells us that everything thought of as physical is not physical at all -- that everything is energy -- that energy is controlled by consciousness -- that what consciousness is, where it is, and how it functions is still a mystery.   This leaves the conservative fundamentalist Christians with this problem:  How can a human being be a physical body when physical matter does not exist --when there is only energy?    

Freedom from Religion:   Also at issue here is the question, "Can Conservative Christians be allowed to transform their religious beliefs into secular law and force the rest of us to practice their religion.

Your Job:  If you choose to accept our invitation, your job is to examine the evidence and draw your own conclusion about the truth of falsehood of this statement:   

The war between those peddling  forced motherhood  and those supporting  women's reproductive rights  is a war about freedom of religion.

How Human Societies Change 

.

The Constant Clash of Opposites:   One one hand, there is the immutable universal law that says change is the only thing that stays the same -- that the status quo is doomed -- that what isn't growing and evolving is dying and decaying.   On the other side, there is the concept of inertia which says that an object will stay stationary until some force comes along to move it.   

In human terms, this means that at one end of the spectrum you'll find those who accept change, and at the opposite end, you'll find those who resist and fight change.  When you look at the definition of the word "conservative," you'll find that it means:  " to preserve that which is -- to preserve established traditions and behavior patterns."   If you study history, you'll notice that religious leaders have consistently been at the forefront of those resisting change.

The Source of Change:   When you examine past changes in our society, you'll notice that almost every major change on the planet has come out of what is commonly thought of as the "lunatic fringe."   It came by way of a person who was, at one point in his or her creative process,  considered by most of his/her fellow humans as an eccentric fool, a lunatic, or a trouble maker.   The future of humanity is still “out there” in that lunatic fringe.   If you look among the malcontents, the eccentrics, lunatics and the quasi-criminals, you’ll also find the visionaries, the dreamers, and the possibility thinkers.    You’ll find the future of humanity.  It's always been that way; it's that way now; and there is no evidence  that it's about to change.

Your Job:  If you choose to accept our invitation, your job is to acknowledge that change is inevitable and then decide in which direction do you want the changes in your life to move.   As you examine our program, you'll see these concepts expressed in much more detail.

Our Pluralistic Society:

Our Forefathers set up our nation to be a pluralistic society.   They set up a very delicate balance between church and state.   In essence, this means that all views, opinions, religions, lifestyles, etc. are to be honored.   For years, that worked fine.

But now, two seemingly opposite groups have joined forces to change that, to take away your religious rights, your political freedom and your ability to control your own government.   On one side of this political marriage, there are the leaders of the  ultra-conservative end of fundamentalist Christianity who are attempting to create a Christian theocracy in America.   On the other side, there are the Christian-talking but atheist-acting multimillionaires who own the structures that control the United States Government.   Who would have dreamed that atheists and conservative Christians would join forces?°   

Your Job:  If you choose to accept our invitation, your job is to examine your own belief system and ask yourself,  "Am I willing to honor others and allow them  freedom of religion, freedom to be as they are, freedom to do as they do.   (Obviously this does not include the right to violate others in person or in property.)  As you examine our program, you'll see these concepts expressed in much more detail.
