A Reasonables' New-Vision Project

.

What Is
The New-Vision Project?

.

.

.

The Project Defined:
The N.V.P. Team  offers a vision of life that brings one's thinking mind into religion and politics and adds a new dimension to day-to-day living.   It's based upon  three main factors:   1) the latest scientific evidence about the nature of reality and human life,  2)  the commonly accepted theories about life that, over the centuries, have been offered by the world's most renowned philosophers, and 3)  the previously ignored teachings of Jesus and the Christian Bible.    (i.e.  Christianity without the dogma and the fairytales.)

Bringing Sanity to an Insane World:
Today in the USA, both ultra-conservative religion and right wing  politics are literally insane.°   Neither serves the people.   Both are extremely destructive.

The black-or-white choice given by these religious and political leaders  is:  "Take our religion and our politics as they are or get out."      The N.V.P. Team is joining the fast-growing chorus of dissenting voices.   The N.V.P. Team is neither leaving nor kowtowing to the false authorities that have hijacked both Christianity and the Republic created by our Founding Fathers.

Life on Earth is difficult enough as it is, without living under political and religious leaderships that are based on unprovable and dysfunctional  fairytales.     The Reasonables' New-Vision Project   (N.V.P.)  is a grass-roots endeavor designed to focus your attention on the rules for creating a successful life on planet Earth.     Its goal is to bring logic, reason, and common sense to a world presently being run by men whose lives are based on fear and whose primary motives are money, power, and ego enhancement.

The project shifts focus from "treating symptoms" to "how to resolve problems."   It brings the mind into religion and heart into politics.   The project will show you how, without asking permission from anybody and from the ground up, the project's participants are re-creating their own lives and filling their lives with joy, abundance, cooperation, love, and freedom.

You are invited into the project, and when you accept this invitation,  The Reasonables' New-Vision Project   (N.V.P.)  team members will show you how to (and assist you in doing) the same for yourself.

The N.V.P.  is also for you if you have been successful in your career, but still find something missing in your life.

Defining the Context Within Which
  This Project Is Being Created

         ...

A very small, but very determined and very vocal minority of right-wing, ultra-conservative Christian leaders have given Christianity what many people consider to be a very distorted and negative public image.   Political opportunists have stepped in and are using the mindless followers of this religious group to further their own ends.°

Christian churches were presumably originally  intended to be based upon the teachings of Jesus  and for the purpose of getting believers into heaven.   In more recent times, some people consider that enhancing the lives of Christians is also a valid purpose.

But when one examines the vast amount of dogma that has been added to the pure, simply stated, and profound teachings of Jesus, one has to question what's really going on and why.   The Reasonables' New-Vision Project   (N.V.P.)   answers both of these questions, but unfortunately, many people will not want to hear these answers, and some will even be offended.

Nonetheless,  this project is offered with the intention of bringing readers a greater understanding of how religious beliefs (or the absence of them) influence and control  human behavior.°    The project's intent is to also make readers aware that if they turn off their minds and blindly follow° any religious leader, (no matter how wonderful his story may sound)  that they ( the followers) are easy prey for those who use unprovable religious beliefs to manipulate and control others, and to collect money.

If you become offended by any statements made  in support of this project, please be assured that this author realizes that there are millions of dedicated, loving, and well-meaning people involved in and deeply committed to their own chosen religious philosophy.   With minor exceptions, these people are kind and loving, and they participate in their respective religions with sincerity and honesty.

The statements  included below offers two possible conclusions:   1)  that many people have been programmed to believe and accept unprovable religious stories as if those stories were the absolute truth, and  2)  that by turning off their minds, some people overlook important pieces of evidence -- evidence that  offers them a very different perspective on religion than the one they presently support and participating in.

The statements made as part of The Reasonables' New-Vision Project   (N.V.P.)   are generalizations about specific groups and organizations.   They do not apply to all the individuals who support or participate in these organizations.   Within every group, there are always those who do not match the generalized, public perception of the typical group member.

Because the vast majority of religious leaders are loving, dedicated and well-meaning people, please be assured that the references in this document to religious leaders  are specifically directed to (and only to)  ultra-conservative religious extremists for whom the only things that matter are their own beliefs about "God."

There is also a very tiny but vocal fraction of leaders who place their own personal interests above those of everyone else and above the truth.   These are the people to whom Jesus was referring when he said, "Beware of wolves in sheep's clothing."°

If you think that this document includes false statements or errors or if you think that any  vital aspects on this topic have been left out, please contact us°  so that the necessary adjustments can be made.   If the above explanation does not satisfy you and relieve your doubts, you are invited to take The Truth Challenge.°

.

.

 .

1)   To offer a previously ignored, enlightened, and open-minded vision for Christianity and to do so for both the believers and for those who have left the faith due to all the harmful, judgmental and negative actions that have been and are being done under the disguise of piety.

2)   To shine the light of truth into a pit of hypocrisy;

3)   To show how  lies of omission are creating false beliefs and precipitating destructive behavior;

4)   To expose those who use subtle but intentional deception.

5)   To expose the devastating, negative consequences of combining church and state.

.

.

Attack Versus Expose:

One could get the impression that The Reasonables' New-Vision Project  is focused on doing battle with  the right-wing, Christian, religious extremists.   That is absolutely not the case!

The Universal Law of Allowing° and  the Universal Law of Intentional Creation° clearly teach that fighting something is counterproductive.    The  laws, in essence, says, "To fight something is to feed it;  to give it additional power of manifestation, and to create more of it in one's reality."  These two Universal Laws  also tell us that the only way to eliminate something from one's reality is to focus on and create something else.   That is exactly where The Reasonable  New-Vision Project is focused.

The project also follows The Universal Law of Allowing whereby Christian religious extremists are simply allowed to be and do as they will.   That's not to say the project's intention is to stand by idly and do nothing while these people  overwhelm everyone's God-granted and Constitutionally protected rights.   That's not to say the project's intention is to stand by idly and do nothing while they fulfill their dysfunctional dream°   of   creating a Christian theocracy in America.°

The project's goal is to shine the light of truth onto any  illusion we find -- onto  lies of omission,°   onto gross hypocrisy,°  and onto the devastating and disastrous consequences°  of intentionally deceiving millions of people who, in good faith, trust their leaders.    Our goal is to allow you and everybody else the opportunity to make informed decisions based on a more inclusive picture of reality than most people now see.   From that more informed position, you can then decide whether to support right-wing, Christian, religious extremists or to chase them out of the halls of our legislators.

Initiating an Attack Versus a Self Defense Response:

In spite of the above explanation, some will still think we are attacking the right-wing, Christian, religious extremists.    By definition, an attack is to intend damage, destruction, death, and/or defeat of someone on something of which one disapproves.   We invite them to take their religious beliefs back to church, or on television and preach to anybody that will listen to them.   In that context, they are free to preach anything they choose to anybody who will listen.     But, what we will not ignore is any attempt on the part of any religious zealots to force their religious beliefs onto everybody by using government laws, government property and/or government money.   (See the page titled:   Church and State -- How Do They Relate?°)

And as you may or may not yet be aware of:   In any conflict, the person or group with the lowest ethical standards sets the level at which the conflict is played out.  When confronted by a those who have low or  no ethical or moral boundaries, those who are not sewer dwellers have to decide how to respond to the opposition.  For a detailed discussion regarding the standards of conduct for both sides in a conflict, please see the page titled:  Hypocrisy.°    Readers are also invited to read  the section titled:  A Truth Challenge.°   In defending everybody's freedom, our behavior may indeed, appear the be an attack.

And those who  still think the right-wing, Christian, religious extremists are being unduly picked on, please check the following web pages.  Check out:    What they actually do°   /   What they ignore in their own Bible°   /  How  they deceive others with lies of omission°   /   Their unethical-immoral behavior,°  /  Why they do it,°  /   The techniques they use,°  / The company they keep,°  /  the inevitable Consequences of their actions,° /   The Rapture°    /  and   The unprovable fairytale° that their entire forced motherhood war is based on.

.

.

A New Vision for Christianity:

The project offers readers a perspective on life, on creation, on God, and on human behavior  based upon  three main factors:   1) the latest scientific evidence about the nature of reality and human life,  2)  the commonly accepted theories about life offered over the centuries by the world's most renowned philosophers, and 3)  the previously ignored teachings of Jesus and the Christian Bible.    (i.e.  Christianity without the dogma and the fairytales.)

One of the techniques used as part of this project is to combine  head and heart.   To combining head and heart means not only to be kind,  loving, and compassionate, but also to bring logic and reason to religion -- to bring in one's active thinking mind and replace the all-to-common  mindless obedience to authority -- to ask tough questions --  and to demand answers that are more believable than the present level of believability, which in some cases such as God's Conception Magic Act° and "The Rapture" °  are on the same level of believability as the stories about the tooth fairy and the Easter Bunny.

The project express and to demonstrate that, in addition to the take-them-on faith-only religious beliefs presently being taught to their followers by leaders of  right-wing, extremists Christianity,  there are some alternative, logical and well-supported, evidence-based theories about reality, about God, about the teachings of Jesus, and about birth, life, and death that are, for the most part, simply being ignored.

The project offers a combination of the oldest beliefs and the latest evidence available and offers some ideas that represent what the evidence tells us  is most probably the truth about reality.    Nothing that the project offers is carved in stone.   Everything  is held as:  "This is what the presently available evidence tells us is most likely the truth about some of life's most mysterious questions" -- questions such as  What is life?  What am I?  Where did I come from?  Why am I here?  Where am I going when my body dies?  et cetera.

.

.

.

The Reasonables'  New-Vision Project   (N.V.P.)    represents a coalition of "Spiritual Reasonables" and "Christian Reasonables."

Definition --  "The Reasonables:"
A "Reasonable" is a person who combines his/her head and heart in making decisions.   Here's one person's  description of what it means to be a "Reasonable."

"I approach all aspects of my life and particularly religion and politics,  with a combination of what my mind tells me and what my internal feelings tell me.   I call myself  "A Reasonable" which means that on some issues I'm conservative, on others, I'm liberal, and on still others, I simply don't have enough information to hold a strong opinion one way or the other."

"When I hear someone else telling me what I should or shouldn't do, and particularly when I hear instructions from someone who claims to know something that I don't, I  bring my mind into the picture and ask, "What's in it for them?"   I question everything.   And before I just mindlessly go along, I look for what the evidence indicates is most likely the truth."

Definition -- "A Spiritual Reasonable:"
A "Spiritual Reasonable" is a Reasonable  (as described above)  who acknowledges the existence of a Divine Source, who acknowledges spiritual values such as love, compassion, caring for the environment and fellow life forms on planet Earth, but who does not adhere to, belong to, support, practice, or participate in the rituals of any of the organized religions.

Definition -- "A Christian Reasonable:"
A "Christian Reasonable" is a Reasonable (as described above)  who acknowledges the existence of a Divine Source, who acknowledges spiritual values such as love, compassion, caring for the environment and fellow life forms on planet Earth, and who also follows the teachings of Jesus as expressed in one or more of the variations of Christianity.
