Everything
Has a Cost
Everything has a price, and that price may or may not have
anything to do with money. Part of the cost of being, doing,
having, or experiencing something is not
being, not doing, not having and/or not experiencing something else.
You've
probably heard the Maxim:
"There
is no such thing as a free
lunch." Even when
the so-called
free lunch does not cost
you any money, it's still not free.
Why? Because regardless of what you paid or
didn't pay for it, the lunch didn't
magically appear out of thin
air. Somebody had to create
it. Lunch, like all physical creations
has a price attached to it.
The
Personal Prices you'll Pay
If You choose Ignorance and/or
Inaction:
Ignorance:
Everything in
your life has a personal price, including
ignorance
(lack of
awareness)
and
inaction.
What price are you paying right now
because you don't know about some
of the choices that are
presently available to you? The price is that
you can't make those
choices. And the reason that you can't make
those choices is that you don't know
that they are available to you.
Inaction: What is the cost of having something of
value available to you, knowing
that it's available to you, and still refusing to accept
it? The cost
is missing that
experience. The cost may outweigh its value, but, on the other
hand, if you don't at least examine the
choice, you'll never know what you've
turned your back on. Remember, when
you choose not to examine your
options, that decision is also a
choice -- it's a choice that you
make yourself. It's the choice to let someone else choose for you. Nobody is
forcing you to remain uninformed,
and you, so you alone, are
responsible for the
consequences of your decision.°
Rules for losers :
Do
you know anybody whose life style,
habits, and behavior patterns
fits one or more pieces of the
following description? Losers
are apathetic!
Their ignorant about the realities
of life! They claim to
be victims of just about everything
and everyone but
themselves! Denial of
anything outside their present
beliefs is normal.
And, above
all, losers continue doing exactly as
they have been doing. Their
past is a road map for their
future.
Even in the face of the inevitable, major, social,
political, religious, economic, and
environmental changes
that are about to occur, losers
continue their present
ways of living, Losers continue to believe
in the fairytales they learned as
little children. They scoff at anything
new and/or unusual. They
refuse to examine anything that could
upset any portion of their belief
system, and they refuse to
examine any of the evidence about what
human life is and how it
works.
Do
you know anyone like
this? Heaven forbid that
any of these behavior patterns
describe you.
In
the short-term, sticking one's heads in
the sands of illusion greatly
simplifies a person's life. In the
long-run, such behavior is disguised
way of setting one's self up for pain,
grief, and misery, and such
behavior could even cost a person his or her life! But then, "The
Rapture" is coming soon, so why bother making any changes?
Because "The Rapture"°
is a
cash-cow
for those peddling it and
a loser's fairytale for those buying
it.
Here's
just one little problem that losers
overlook:
If one doesn't know the rules of any
game, including the game called
life, he or she will almost certainly be one
of the game's losers. If the truth
set's one free, where does ignorance,
apathy, and betting one's life on unprovable, religious stories leave
a person?
Here's how to be a master at
the art of ignorance:
Sit back and do
nothing except pretend to be a victim. Simply blame
someone else for personal misfortunes.
Be apathetic, and above all, deny, deny, deny anything that threatens the
status quo.
Responsibility
To
say this another way, Victim
Consciousness Is an Illusion.°
"There
are no victims, only unconscious
creators."
The responsibility for our
personal lives belongs
to each and every one of
us. We each create
our own personal reality using The
Three Universal Laws.
You've
probably already heard the old and now-classic answer to the question,
"What's the difference between ignorance and apathy?" For the sake of the few who haven't yet heard
it, the answer is, "I don't know and I don't give a
damn!"
